Jellyfin Roku App can't find server - chimpfunkz - 2025-05-06
Hi,
I'm transitioning my server from Plex to Jellyfin, and have the jellyfin at least mostly set up. My problem now is, I'm trying to set up my Roku TV with jellyfin, and it doesn't want to find my server.
I'm running Jellyfin on TrueNas Scale in a docker container. that's on xxx.xxx.1.5:30013. When I try to use that address on my TV (which is on xxx.xxx.86.xx the wifi network) it fails to find it and doesn't let me submit the server.
I know my Jellyfin is set up properly, because I used the same 1.5:30013 on the windows app, and it found the server. And I got it to work on my phone by using my public IP and the 30013 port (my router has a port forwarding rule set up).
So I just don't know why the Roku app isn't finding the server at all.
Jellyfin App is 10.10.6. I don't know what other information is relevant.
