Trickplay Images - nothingveryobvious - 2025-05-07
Just a quick question about trickplay images.
If a file named "Show.S01E01.Cool-Releases.mkv" is replaced with "Show.S01E01.Dope-Releases.mkv" are the trickplay images for "Show.S01E01.Cool-Releases.mkv" automatically deleted if trickplay images are not stored next to the media files?

I may be wrong, but I believe they should if they're stored in the metadata folder.
If you store them alongside the media files, maybe not. Guess I can test it out later if I have the time.

Thanks for your reply. They definitely do not delete automatically if stored with the media files.

AFAIK, images stored in media files folder are only deleted if you delete media from within jellyfin itself.
