Trickplay images & Extracted Subtitles not being deleted - roughnecknine0 - 2025-05-13 Hello, After deleting media files from Jellyfin I'm finding that trickplay folder/images are remaining in the media folders and that extracted subtitles are remaining in the cache. I have trickplay images set to store alongside media. I am using SubtitleExtract plugin. I have real time monitoring enabled for the libraries. I have another program that create hardlinks to my media and that is how the media is imported into Jellyfin. I have been deleting the hardlinks from the Jellyfin folders using that program and/or have been deleting the media folders using Jellyfin. I'll be honest I can't keep track of which shows/movies I have deleted in what manner, but I do know that I have subtitles and trickplays for media that is no longer in Jellyfin. Thanks! RE: Trickplay images & Extracted Subtitles not being deleted - theguymadmax - 2025-05-13 This is being address in Jellyfin 10.11 and is a limitation for 10.10.x. RE: Trickplay images & Extracted Subtitles not being deleted - roughnecknine0 - 2025-05-13 Understood. I couldn't find much on google or github regarding 10.11. As for current version is my best course for subtitles cleanup to delete the folder and re-run Subtitle Extract? I initially started using SE because playback on TV was taking about 30 seconds to start and SE fixed the issue. As for cleaning up .trickplay-only media folders should I just use a bash script? I'm looking to reduce disk size and while the .trickplay folders are quite small my subtitles cache is a few GB. |
