JellyFin not recognizing anime show - deadinside77 - 2025-05-13 I cannot for the life of me get one of my anime shows to show the 2 seasons correctly. It shows 2 seasons in my library but each seasons has the same exact name for every episode. I have used the FileBot program to rename everything correctly in the correct format: "Vinland Saga - S01E01 - Somewhere Not Here" (see pictures attached). I have done the correct renaming for both seasons but it still shows season 2 to have the same EXACT names for each episodes. I have all of the anime metadata providers selected in the library settings for my folder. I have also checked and unchecked the option: "Automatically merge series that are spread across multiple folders". Also have re-scanned the library and refreshed metadata. I used the "identify" button to select other metadata providers that doesn't work either. I have 20+ shows and have all of them setup correctly except for this only one show. Please help!! I'm getting really frustrated. RE: JellyFin not recognizing anime show - Emailluka - 2025-05-14 The naming of the files is not correct. The dash "-" is a seperator which probably causes the wrong detection. https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/server/media/shows#episodes-split-across-multiple-parts So.. remove the first dash in "Vinland Saga - S0XE0X - ...." and it should be working. Another solution that could work is putting the files in seperate season-folders like "...Anime Shows/Vinland Saga/S01/" |
