Automatically merge TV folders not working - sooperduck - 2025-05-15 Hi! I have a TV folder with "Automatically merge programmes that are spread across multiple folders" checked but it's still showing those shows as 2 separate shows. For example I have 2 folders for Star Trek TNG: D:\Bluray-TV\Star Trek The Next Generation (1987) D:\Blurays-TV-Kids\Star Trek The Next Generation (1987) Both follow the same per-season folder naming too e.g. "Star Trek The Next Generation (1987) - Season 1 S01" This is so I can separate out kid-friendly episodes for my Kids user account but I want to see the complete series in my own account. It also happens with Star Trek Voyager which I've done the same with. I've tried: - Manually typing matching metadata for both series (naming, tvdb, tmdb, tvmaze IDs etc) - Refresh and replace metadata scan - Moving the folders out, rescanning metadata, putting folders back and rescanning again - Following advice in this post https://forum.jellyfin.org/t-folder-combining-not-working-for-some-tv-shows - Selecting both versions of the show and using "Group Versions". This just results in a blue spinning circle with nothing ultimately happening. None of this has worked unfortunately. My Server Version is 10.10.7 - running on Windows 10 Same result on every client I try; Web, iPhone, Apple TV, Google TV. Looking forward to any advice, thanks! RE: Automatically merge TV folders not working - theguymadmax - 2025-05-16 The way are trying to merge doesn't work for TV Series in Jellyfin. You need to enable the below setting in the Series library, accessed from your dashboard: Automatically merge series that are spread across multiple folders Series that are spread across multiple folders within this library will be automatically merged into a single series. Then re-scan your library. |
