control meda player thru separate device - dronko - 2025-05-19
Im trying to figure out if you can play something thru a separate device, so currently (dad set it up) to play music thru are stereo setup theres the server at the tv then theres a table connected to the server to play stuff thru it.
what Im trying to figure out is can it be done with jelly fin, the server (I set it up for myself for now) it self it is in a defense room so could you play meda on the computer at the tv and control it with the tablet, the current problem with it is its a bit jank takeing a interface for a computer and converting it to a touch screen doesn't work very well.
also dont want to use Bluetooth.
we also have a fire stick but then you cant control it from a separate room.

Answer: yes, in many cases. The Jellyfin app on the mobile device can be used as a remote control.
