Missing Episode Inconsistency - Swindiff - 2025-05-20

Since Trakt limited the collection you could have to 100 items without having to pay $60/year I have been using the TVDB plugin in Jellyfin to see what episodes I am missing.  Episodes that I do not have in my collection are either listed as missing or unaired.  You would expect that an episode would be listed as unaired until the aired date had passed at which point they would be listed as missing.  However, if you look at this image, most of the episodes are listed as missing, even though non of these episodes have been aired yet.  Stranger Things S5 does not air until Oct/Nov, yet it shows as missing.  1st 2 episodes  of Star Trek show as missing, the rest show correctly as unaired.  The season Premier is not until July.

Is this a limitation of the information scraped from TVDB, or have I not got something set up quite right?

I tried to recreate the issue and couldn't. Maybe the information changed, and it needs a manual update? Try a replace all metadata on Season 03.

It seems to happen when the metadata for the release date is dd/mm/yyyy rather than the actual date. Thanks, that helped my find the issue.

The other issue is with the filtering. Missing and Unaired both appear when you select the missing filter. Nothing appears when you select the unaired filter.

Yeah, that's a bug. I'll see if I can come up with a patch for that when I have some more time.

Many thanks theguymadmax

It seems that when TVDB has listed an episode with no date attached to it, the date field just shows as dd/mm/yyyy. This causes the episode to be categorised as missing. Would it be possible to have episodes with no release date to be categorised as unaired instead? As this is far more likely to be the case.

Sorry for my delay in replying, I don't seem to get reply notifications on this forum.
