GPU recommendation? - Ewesirname - 2025-05-22
I recently found out that AMD cards are not recommended for jellyfin servers. I've been using my old rx580 (8gb) and am looking for something around the same performance and vram range to replace it. From browsing the forum, it seems that the Intel Arc lineup or and older GTX series may be best. Any specific card recommendations?

I have an A380 and it's an absolute beast. I believe the 310 has the same chip. As far as quality for cost when you're purchasing a new card, I don't think you can beat the ARC series. No real need to step up to a higher-end card in the series -- all of them in the A-series have the same chip for encoding/decoding.

Another vote for the A380. I have have 3 or 4 streams at once with no issues at all, it handles AV1 and any other codec, and relatively low power/heat.
