Jellyfin tray - Gmjh - 2025-06-07
Hi, there seems to be very little information about the jellyfin tray. And even less info about the message I get when I click on it which is "Jellyfin tray application is already running". What is jellyfin tray supposed to do? I read somewhere that it's supposed to trigger something which looks like the web page for the server but it doesn't even do that. And why do I just get this message and nothing else whenever I click on it?

I don't even have a JF tray since my last clean install. No start menu entry either. And no idea why!

This is crazy. No one can answer what it's for, and you don't even have the thing that no one can give an answer about 🙂

IF you right-click the tray icon you get options to start/stop the server open the server location and exit the application. That is what it is for. Basic access to the server itself.
I can't do any of that without the tray icon or start menu entry and must rely on a full system restart and hope the JF server also starts.
