Server drops offline - Adoan412 - 2023-06-23 Hey everyone, first post, I did try looking into this before posting. So I recently switched over to Jellyfin. Absolutely loving the software, its such a breath of fresh air. The server is visible online via a forwarded port for about 3 hours then inexplicably goes dark. I can still access it via my wifi / lan, but its a ghost to the outside world. Server is running on windows 11, and I've manually forwarded a port in my modem/router. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I suspect it might be something to do with windows firewall or services being dropped after a certain amount of time, but asking in case its a known issue or simple solution. RE: Server drops offline - Venson - 2023-06-23 Hey @Adoan412, That sounds very strange, if you can only access the server for 3 hours from the internet. Does your IP maybe change and your DNS entry do not match anymore? RE: Server drops offline - Adoan412 - 2023-06-23 Hey @Venson its roughly 3 hours, not an exact time. As far as the ip, it stays the same. Simply stopping and starting jellyfin in the task bar gets it online again and all the details are the same. RE: Server drops offline - cewert - 2023-06-30 Do your jellyfin server logs show anything around the time of the disconnect? |
