Duplicate Movie Sets - FlyByWire - 2025-06-08
Hi there,
Initially I had the Problem that the movie sets did not have thumbnails. I stumbled over the suggestion installing TMDb Box Sets. Afterward I have all my movie collection boxes duplicated.
- Englisch Text with thumbnail
- German Text without thumbnail
I read about the merge version plugin and tried that without help.
Any Ideas how to get rid of the duplicates ?

go into the library's settings & uncheck "Automatically add to collection", click Okay & rescan the library. This is what's causing the duplication when using the TMDb plugin. You might have to manually select all the duplicates & delete them afterward.

It is unchecked (see screenshot, sorry it's in German). Ok, I was worried if I would delete the duplicates I would delete the source file (movie) as well? So solution is manually deleting duplicates and that's it?

That is not the one that I am referring to. The item you want unchecked is called "Automatically add to collection:When at least 2 movies have the same collection name, they will be automatically added to the collection.
It is under the "Manage Library" section of that particular film library (click on the 3 dots)
The image you are showing me is a preference to have collections grouped as 1 unit in the main section. You have to deselect the one that I am referring to or the duplicates will keep reappearing no matter how many times you delete them. It is in the same area that you can add or remove folders for that library
