Wrong cast identification - Sandro_Rocha_1982 - 2025-06-09
I'm having trouble identifying movie casts. When there are two actors with the same name, Jellyfin can't load information for both, choosing one and loading it into the entire library. I noticed this behavior today when I added the movie "Desert Kickboxer" to the library. When I went to see if the information was loaded, I saw that the main actor loaded was this John Newton https://www.imdb.com/pt/name/nm0628541/?ref_=ttfc_fcr_cst_29 and not this John Newton https://www.imdb.com/pt/name/nm0628542/?ref_=tt_cst_t_1. When I manually identified the actor, I noticed that in the movie "The Stuff", where the first John Newton has a role, the second John Newton, who does not participate in the movie, appears listed as part of the cast. Is there a way to solve this? At the moment I use TMDB to search for movie information.

I do not know of any workarounds.
