Can't migrate my Jellyfin to new computer - laucnher12 - 2025-06-16
I built a new computer over the weekend and have been carrying my computer files, and I am mostly finishedf. been having the greatest problem with Jellyfin.
I already know about the ProgramData transfer but every time I copy it over, my password to the jellyfin doesn't work. I've done it several times and tried programfiles or Appdata (Both all at once and one at a time) and still the issue persists.
Any guesses? I don't really mind starting over from scratch but it sucks since a lot of my settings will be lost.
For reference, I still have my previous install "up and running" (it doesn't have access to my media files since my HDD got moved to my new computer but my settings are still the same. Everything is just blurred out).
The new computer is also Windows 11 while the old one was Windows 10.

Never mind, fixed it by changing the password. Obvious I know, but it didn't occur to me how that could be the issue if I am essentially reusing everything.
