Change what app opens when launching server? - WatchingJelly - 2025-06-20 When I launch Jellyfin server on my PC it opens my browser at the Jellyfin app page which is useful because I invariably fired the server up to check a movie or tweak settings. I also installed a Jellyfin client app on the same PC because unlike my default web browser, it's able to play all my movies with hardware acceleration. So the question is: Is there any setting that can change it so the Jellyfin client is automatically opened instead of my web browser when I launch the server? I can't see anything.. Full disclosure: I'm on Ubuntu using the Flatpak Jellyfin client. I'm not sure but I don't think this really impacts the question so it should be answerable by anyone using Windows. Cheers. RE: Change what app opens when launching server? - niels - 2025-06-20 Opening the browser is behavior specific to the flatpak installation of the server and you can not disable it or change what is launched. RE: Change what app opens when launching server? - WatchingJelly - 2025-06-20 Thanks for the info Niels. 👍 |
