Adding media files to library over network - Jeff Edsell - 2025-06-20
My apologies for the noob question. I just installed TrueNAS on an old machine on my network. Then I installed Jellyfin on TrueNAS.
There is a /media folder in the single pool on my TrueNAS installation, which I made available to the network via SMB.
Using my main PC (which I'll be using to digitize a bunch of home videos from VHS) I connected to the /media folder via SMB and added a few video clips and photos for a test.
I used the Jellyfin web interface to add the /media folder as a library - but it's empty.
Could someone please point me in the right direction?
