Jellyfin Media Player - Thumbnail Cache? - rmills - 2025-06-24 Not sure if this is the right place to ask. For the jellyfin media player on windows, is there a separate location for image cache (thumbnail, trick play, etc.)? I don't see any image cache in the AppData\Local\Jellyfin Media Player and AppData\Local\JellyfinMediaPlayer and for some reason my updated thumbnails show up correctly in any browser but just not in the jellyfin media player? RE: Jellyfin Media Player - Thumbnail Cache? - fnfunkin - 2025-10-27 Yeah, I’ve run into that before — Jellyfin Media Player actually keeps its image cache separate from the server’s browser cache, usually buried under AppData\Roaming\jellyfinmediaplayer\cache rather than Local. Clearing that folder forces it to reload the updated thumbnails.
