Disable FFmpeg.Remux Logs - cartman - 2023-10-04

Hello,

I have not found an option in the log related json files in /etc/jellyfin that is obvious to me to adjust the logging so that no more FFmpeg.Remux* logs show up under /var/log/jellyfin. Does anyone have a hint or tip for me?

Thanks a lot.

The only information I've seen provided about logging is related to increasing the amount of logging, not decreasing.

Why are you trying to get rid of ffmpeg logs?

I'm looking at the ffmpeg helper code and it looks like ALL of the ffmpeg log logic is tied together. And I don't see any logic for decreasing, increasing, or disabling ffmpeg logs.

I just don't need them. My instance is used by several users, so there are quite a lot of useless logs. I just wanted to make sure I didn't overlook any option to change this via the configuration. If that doesn't work I clean up with a cronjob from time to time. Thanks for your answers.

Jellyfin only keeps 3 days of logs.  This applies to the main log and any ffmpeg logs.  Unless you want even less then that.
