What happens after renaming a library? - ivan - 2025-06-30 Today I had the unfortunate idea of renaming an existing library... I had no idea it would trigger a full re-scan. This makes no sense. It didn't seem to disrupt anything though. Watch status is kept, Date added is kept was well and i'm pretty sure all the existing metadata (including posters) was kept. So whats the point of the rescan? Are there plans to change this behavior? Btw, I found an 4 year thread from the old forum, with the same issue. RE: What happens after renaming a library? - bitmap - 2025-06-30 I'd guess this is a remnant of how Emby handled/s libraries. Untangling weird things like this is way more difficult than you'd expect. RE: What happens after renaming a library? - theguymadmax - 2025-06-30 https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/issues/2451 |
