Jellyfin Network/Internet - schnippsel - 2025-06-30
Hello,
Jellyfin runs on my LXC on a Proxmox server. It works perfectly. Now I wanted to move this container to another server (using backup and restore on the new server, which works without any problems. All data is there. Metadata can be changed (so no authorization problem). However, Jellyfin cannot download new metadata, other cover images, plugins, etc. via the Internet. There is no response. I thought it might be due to the port, which previously pointed to a different IP address. But changing the port to 8097 did not help. IMDB, etc. remain silent. I'm out of ideas and would be very grateful for any help.

PS: Since I cannot rule out the possibility that Proxmox is also involved in the problem, I am posting this in both forums.

Jellyfin läuft bei mir als LXC auf einem Proxmox Server. Läuft einwandfrei. Jetzt wollte ich diesen Container auf einen anderen Server umziehen (mittels Backup und Restore auf dem neunen Server, was auch problemlos klappt. Alle Daten sind da. Metadaten können geändert werden (also kein Berechtigungsproblem. Allerdings kann Jellyfin sich über das Internet keine neuen Metadaten, andere Coverbilder, Plugins usw. laden. Es kommt keine Antwort. Ich habe mal darauf getippt, dass es am Port liegen könnte, der ja vorher auf eine andere IP-Adresse verwiesen hat. Aber eine Portänderung auf 8097 hat nichts gebracht. IMDB usw. bleiben stumm. Ich hab keine Idee mehr und wäre für Hilfe sehr dankbar.

PS: Da ich nicht ausschließen kann, dass auch Proxmox an dem Problem beteilig ist, schreibe ich diesen Post in beide Foren.

Can you ping anything from inside the Jellyfin container or is there no network connection?

Sorry, it was my mistake: a configuration error in Proxmox.
