Anyone having a transcoding issue specifically on M1 Mac? - archercc - 2023-10-04
For some reason my Jellyfin server seems to be having some specific issues with some newer 720p media Ive been downloading.
It will play but often the video will lock up while audio continues and video will resume (caught up) seconds later. This is on Android TV devices. On the computer itself, in the browser, I see grey blocking during the same times.
Nobody else is reporting ANY issues with the same media, not a peep.
Below is an example of the media encoding, wondering if its my setup not liking the coding and/or if there is anything I can do to help it. I dont think its bandwidth on the computer, as best I can tell. CPU is running a light load, Jellyfin runs between 10-20%, memory doesnt seem to be hitting anything, always more than a GB of free while running, disk does spike from time to time but nothing absurd and doesnt seem to correspond with the lockups.
