Jellyfin Media Player (Windows): Video freezes - Zippy1970 - 2025-07-16 Apologies if this has already been discussed - I searched the forum but couldn’t find any threads about this issue, so I’m not sure if I’m the only one experiencing it. Since updating to Jellyfin Media Player for Windows v1.12.0, I’ve noticed that some movies freeze briefly (about half a second) at every scene change, which seems to coincide with keyframes. This doesn't happen with all movies, and I’ve checked the media info of the affected files but can’t pinpoint anything unusual. For example, the movies in this group do exhibit the issue: While these play without any problems:   I tried rolling back to v1.11.1, and the issue completely disappears — all movies play smoothly again. But once I reinstall v1.12.0, the freezing returns. Any ideas what might be causing this? Appreciate any help or insight. RE: Jellyfin Media Player (Windows): Video freezes - Zippy1970 - 2025-07-16 Hate to answer my own questions, but even though I've been trying to fix this problem for weeks now, I find the solution minutes after I create a thread about it here. 😄 The solution for me was to change "AV Sync Mode" to "Resample" under Settings -> Client Settings. Still not sure why I didn't need to change that in v1.11.1.
