movie.nfo-e - TarnishedTinMan - 2025-07-21 Over the weekend I moved my Jellyfin media onto a MacOS hosted Jellyfin server (10.10.7) I store all my meta data in a movie.nfo file in the directory of the media: Some Cool Movie (2003) - Some Cool Movie (2003).mp4 - Some Cool Movie (2003).jpg - Some Cool Movie (2003)-fanart.jpg - movie.nfo After the media was moved and I scanned it into the new instance I noticed that in the individual folders along with the files above I now have a file named: movie.nfo-e. When I run a diff on the two movie.* files they are the exact same. If I go and make a change to the metadata like add a new tag and review the two files only the original movie.nfo is changed to reflect the new tag. The movie.nfo-e remains the same as when it was imported. What is the purpose of the movie.nfo-e file and why can't I find a reference to it on any of the release notes? RE: movie.nfo-e - theguymadmax - 2025-07-22 having a -e after the nfo file in Jellyfin is not a thing. I would just delete it. RE: movie.nfo-e - TarnishedTinMan - 2025-07-23 I have done some more testing and adding metadata to a file changes the .nfo version but never the .nfo-e version. Just weird. I will probably delete them all as you suggested. |
