DVD-SUB causing random transcoding because of incompatible subtitle format - Lain - 2025-07-27
I tested this manly on the fireTv client. Its happening on a release of SoulEater and other dvds too. The first episode of soul eater is doing direct playback, but the second is being transcoded due to "incompatible subtitle format" even though they both use DVD-SUB. I dont know why it would do that, Swiftfin on IOS is handeling it fine for all episodes. The files were created using makemkv. I dont know what might be needed for troubleshooting so let me know.

After more research it seems vobsub playback not working in androidtv client 18.x is expected and support will hopefully be added in ver 19
