Issue with Chromecasting via Android (Samsung) Phone - firadin - 2025-08-05 I recently installed a Jellyfin server on my Ubuntu computer and had everything up and running properly. Last week my phone did a system update, and ever since I've been unable to Chromecast from my phone to my 2nd Generation Chromecast hooked up to my TV. I am able to watch content on my phone perfectly fine, but as soon as I try to Chromecast, my Ubuntu machine seems to lose internet entirely. It says the computer is still connected but I'm unable to access websites on it, and I can't access the server anymore. If I reset the wifi on the computer then everything works again. I'm still able to Chromecast via other devices, e.g. my Samsung tablet (though it's forcing a system update soon). I'm not sure what logs to pull since this happens even if I try to cast without actually picking a show/movie to start. Any help would be appreciated. |
