4K Playback Intermittent Hitching - bansly - 2025-08-06
I am having an issue where I will have intermittent hitching when playing back 4k rips. The movie will play fine for a seemingly random amount of time, but will "hitch" ocassionally, as in audio and video pausing for a short (0.25 second) to long (2-3 seconds) amount of time. They are all MKV files and are direct playing according to the dashboard.
My Jellyfin instance is running 10.10.3 and was installed using the Debian repository on Proxmox. I am using the Android TV Jellyfin frontend on the Nvidia Shield Pro.
I haven't really tried anything as I am not sure where to begin.
I have turned on debug logs, and noticed the issue around 15:50:18 and 15:50:57:
