Does jellyfin change the original file in any way? - Jellie06 - 2025-08-06 I was looking at the documentation for codecs and saw the reference of FFMPEG use to convert potentially unsupported file types. I could not understand if this works on the system level at the original file or just for the user. I had a search around. I understand this is a dumb question but I have files I need to preserve the codecs of. I just want to check before I move my data over. I think I'd cry if any of it got changed as it's years of content.
