remove NR movies from restricted accounts - anylettuce - 2025-08-09
As an example, I set up a kids account and limit everything to nothing more than pg-13 ratings. The issue I found is anything with a NR rating is included.
A simple fix would be unless someone has full access, any account with restriction has the NR rated movies removed from the list.
one could always manually adjust a movies rating to include it as needed.

This is fixed for 10.11 when you enable “block unrated items” on the user profile

There are some issues with parental ratings with 10.10.x, but NR rated items should be blocked if you enable it. There a specific setting to block NR items, did you enable it?
Block items with no or unrecognized rating information:

I completely missed that. Found it, enabled it and will see.
