Problems With file And MetaData Since Latest Update - huss - 2023-10-08
Jellyfin: 10.8.11
Server: Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye)
Hi since my update to 10.8.11 i have had issues with jellyfin recognizing new media files. the matedata wont show and now when adding new tv shows it doesn't show the episodes. i have the correct file format all my files are h264 and h265 i haven't had these issues before but now its new since update an am not sure what to do.. also real time monitoring doesn't seem to work and i have to manual scan most of the time
I tried paying with permissions via terminal to help but still no luck. can someone tell me the exact permissions i should have what i am using is
sudo setfacl -R -m u:jellyfin:rx /home/huss/Videos/Jellyfin/
so that it is reclusive to all categories and media files under that.
is something wrong with my permissions or is it something else.
I have been using jellyfin for years never had an issue like this before.
sorry i tried to use search in this forum but its not working i cant click it and frequently asked question has 1 post in it is WIP. not sure what is going on there.
