Android app is non-sensical for seeking forward/backwards - frozen-cdn - 2025-08-12

Hello, new to Jellyfin, and it's completely unacceptable that there are no seek forward/backwards buttons, only skip to next track or back in the UI

What are you guys thinking, just curious?

Have you ever tried to use your finger, and scroll through a 2 hour DJ set and go back 10 seconds?

To top things off, you have an area in the settings which defines seek forward/backward amounts, yet no way to actually use it!

I've double tapped until my fingers hurt, it's not doing anything

Absolutely delirious design here, totally unacceptable quality control, what are you guys even doing lmao

This is getting a bad rating on Google Play as it's utterly useless

PS - I don't see any way to specify a different player, either, since Jellyfin is crippled.  Why is it so hidden?

Brutal, brutal, brutally bad design

The 1st thing we always think about is "What will piss off frozen-cdn the most?" After that, we start thinking about puppies.

Volunteering our free time to give you a free media server and clients. What are you up to?

You created an account just to shit on the Android app, which functions *exactly as you've described* when configured correctly? That's dedication.

No, my music library is all FLAC and I'm guessing very, very different from yours.

Next time you have an issue, ask a question.
