Initial Setup Folders not Working - MKibner - 2025-08-13
Hello, I am new to using Jellyfin and TrueNas Scale (or any similar software)
I followed a video to install JellyFin from the catalog in TrueNas. I got it running, I go to set up my media libraries and when I get to adding folders I can see the Data Set I created "Media", but it doesn't create any folders here. In the video I was following they were able to select Media and then under that select Movies for example, but I can't seem to figure out how to get to that point.
After much Googling, I the only thing I see people mentioning involve the permissions maybe not being correct. But I am not able to follow where that needs to be addressed.
Currently "Everyone" has permissions to the folder.
I tried editing the Shares to allow the apps group to have user full control, adding a subset, adding regular folders on the network.
Can anyone help me get past this point?
