Jellyfin isn't working and I need help. - hva - 2025-08-13
Hi guys, I have Jellyfin on my main PC on Windows. I'm super not techy, but I wanted somewhere where I could listen to music without ads. Jellyfin wont load when i got to my host URL thingy with my IP and apps like Manet on my phone don't worth either and so does Feishin. I just need a fix and sorry if some questions I can't answer because I really don't know.

So you're running Jellyfin server on your Windows machine? Or you just downloaded a Jellyfin client? Your Windows machine likely changes its IP address on a semi-regular basis due to DHCP, so that might be one cause...but if you've never been able to login, I wonder if the server software is running properly.

Are you attempting to connect to your JF server on your local network via the local network (LAN) IP address, or are you outside your home network andtrying to connect over the internet to your public IP address (WAN)?
That's the first place I'd start for an understanding of your set-up.
