Cannot get extras to appear - StaticUnit97 - 2025-08-14
I am trying to add some extras to one of my titles, but no matter how I name the folders or extras, they do not appear in the web player or the desktop media player.
Here is the current structure:
Star Wars Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)/
├── extras
│ ├── 4K80 24_fast_grain.mkv
│ ├── 4K80 24_fast_none.mkv
│ └── 4K80 source.mkv
├── Star Wars Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) - 4K83.mkv
└── Star Wars Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) - D80.mkv
I've tried naming the folder:
- extras
- Extras
- clips
- other
- featurettes
I've also tried naming the files within this folder, but no matter what, the extras never appear. The permissions across the titles and folders are all the same, too. Is there something I am missing?

That structure should work; I tested it out myself. Are you looking for the extras in the right place? It will appear under the Cast & Crew section on the movie details page.

Nothing was working, so I restarted the container and they are there now. Not sure what changed, but everything is working now!

I add a subfolder "Extras" to the movie's directory. I click the 3 vertical dots on the upper right of the movie's page and "Refresh metadata." I select "Scan for new & updated files." After, I right click anywhere on the Jellyfin Media Player background and I get a webpage menu (back, forward, reload, view source). I select "reload" and it reloads the page. The Extras appear for me between "Cast & Crew" and "More Like This" without a full library scan or container reboot.
