First time set up - WobblyJellyFish - 2025-08-22 Hi, After years of using PLEX I've decided to move over to Jellyfin after reading all the great reviews. I believe I have set up jellybean server correctly on my Mac computer. I can see all my personal movies on my external drive in the home screen but how do I now stream a movie to my Fetch TV so I can watch my movies. Do I have to download something else. Note: With PLEX I could view all my moves via FETCH TV Media Hub Cheers Colin RE: First time set up - bitmap - 2025-08-22 I have not heard of Fetch TV. Jellyfin has clients for download on a variety of platforms like Android (mobile and TV), Roku, webOS, iOS, Windows, Linux, etc... So you would need to download a client on a device and either a) use that device for viewing -- probably your TV or a set-top box or b) cast to a compatible set-top box like a Roku, Chromecast, etc... RE: First time set up - theguymadmax - 2025-08-22 You can also try downloading the Jellyfin DLNA Plugin. From within Jellyfin, go to Dashboard-> (Plugins) Catalog and install it from there. Thanks for the quick reply, I just contacted Fetch box Support and I cannot download apps on their devices. I downloaded the DLNA from within JF and now and have managed to download Jellyfin on my Samsung TV account so now I can view my movies. It's a bit messy getting to them with several folders to go through but eventually I get there. Im sure there has to be a better way to view my private content, will have to work on it. Cheers Colin |
