Missing media - ffejj - 2025-08-25

So I have a library with a folder containing assorted flacs and pdfs.  When I scan my library, the folder shows up as a media item - it points to a pdf which is contained in the folder, and instead of the pdf filename, the media has the same name as the folder.  And I don't see any of the subdirectories containing flacs.
My file structure:

Root_Folder:
..Flac_Folder1
..Flac_folder2
..Flac_folder3 etc
..pdf_instruction_manual.pdf

Creates a Media "Root_Folder" which opens "pdf_instruction_manual.pdf"

if I rename the pdf file extension to something like .old and rescan my library, the subdirectories and files will show up as expected.

This is a books library, if that matters.
Does anyone know what is happening and how to fix it?

Cohabitating books and audiobooks may be part of the issue. The main issue is that you're using subfolders. If the FLAC files are in the same directory as the PDF, you might have better luck.

I actually have mixed media in other folders in my books library. I also have other occurrences of PDFs/subfolders mixed together which show up as expected.
