Jellyfin Web Issue - aajh - 2025-08-27
Hello, after a clean install Jellyfin's web install doesn't appear to be functioning as demonstrated in the documentation. I attempted a few fixes from the forums to no avail. Details are below.
- Ubuntu Server 24.04.3 LTS
- 2012 i7 Mac mini 16GB ram
- Jellyfin version 10.10.7
When attempting to connect via http://ipaddress:8096, I simply get no response and the page fails to connect. I've attempted sudo systemctl start jellyfin, ufw is enabled (perhaps I have to allow jellyfin in ufw?), when I put in ufw allow jellyfin "Could not find a profile matching 'jellyfin'" is returned.
When jellyfin alone is typed out the status report does seem to indicate an issue with the web component, a screenshot of this is attached below.
While I'm not completely new to Ubuntu Server, I've only used it to run Apache installs, so troubleshooting steps as well as explanations are greatly appreciated. Hoping to get this up and running before the end of the week.
