Playback issue with specific media - JacksonB42 - 2025-08-31

I have Jellyfin (10.10.7) running in an Ubuntu VM on an N100 mini-pc. I have an issue where some specific media will not load on one specific client.
  • I can play the media on my PC and it works as expected (Win 11 PC)
  • I can play the media on one TV and it works as expected (TCL Roku TV)

However,
  • I cannot play the media on a different TV that I own (TCL Android Smart TV)

I do have transcoding enabled and working properly for most of my media library, however for this issue, when I try to play the media, the client shows
  • "Player error encountered. Will re-try..." repeated a few times, then
  • "Too many errors. Giving up"

Double-check your permissions...for everything while you are at it.

Basing this on: jellyfin Error opening input files: Invalid argument and MediaBrowser.MediaEncoding.Transcoding.TranscodeManager: FFmpeg exited with code 234
