TV Shows show up in Jellyfin library without having actual video files for it - Sash - 2025-09-01 Hi, So I'm trying to figure how is Jellyfin is able to display a tv show in JF library when I don't have the actual files for it, and I'm not using any placeholders either. I'm trying to recrate this with movies but it's not showing up in library. This one doesn't show up in the library RE: TV Shows show up in Jellyfin library without having actual video files for it - theguymadmax - 2025-09-01 You can use a stub file for a placeholder. Just create an empty text file and rename it to moviename.disc Ex: oh.hi.disc RE: TV Shows show up in Jellyfin library without having actual video files for it - Sash - 2025-09-01 (Yesterday, 03:58 PM)theguymadmax Wrote: You can use a stub file for a placeholder. So yes, creating an empty folder within a series will create an entry in Jellyfin, whereas it won’t for movies. If you don’t want it to show up, you can add a ".ignore" file inside the empty folder. |
