Crash on Show scan - lucdg - 2025-09-02
Jellyfin version: 10.11.0 rc5
Installed via windows installer. Running windows 11 in a proxmox vm.
What's happening
When I run a show scan it will run for 2 minutes then crash. Standard log shows nothing. I have the first 1000 lines of debug log in pastebin link below. In produces 80,000 lines in the 2 minutes before crash. Too large to paste whole log. I have attached zip file of full log below.
Windows Event viewer does show additional detail I have pasted below.
History
I was running jellyfin 10.10.7 fine. Decided to do a fresh setup of 10.11.rc5. Uninstalled 10.10.7 and deleted C:\ProgramData\Jellyfin folder. Installed rc5 and added movies folder successfully but I was unable to add Shows folder. It timed out trying the save adding the shows library. Upon refreshing the page, it showed shows library added but I was unable to edit.
Uninstalled rc5, deleted the Programdata folder and reinstalled 10.10.7. Movies and Shows added and scanned fine. I then upgraded to rc5. I was able to play content from Movies and Shows but if I tried to scan Shows library it would crash.
Uninstalled rc5 and deleted the Programdata folder. Reinstalled rc5 and added shows library but upon trying to scan it, rc5 crashes. This is the log in pastebin link.

I would be grateful for any help in getting show scanning working. I would like to stick with 10.11.

I was able to get 10.11 rc5 to scan without crashing. I rolled back to 10.10.7 and noticed it had trouble matching approximately 5 shows on scanning. Renamed those folders. Upgraded to 10.11 rc5 and it scanned without crashing.

Spoke to soon. It started crashing again on scanning shows. I'm going to roll back to 10.10.7 for now.

It's a one-way street. You can't downgrade from 10.11 to 10.10.x. You must restore from backup or start anew.

I have this same issue. In 10.10.7 I can add libraries without issue. In 10.11 RC 5 and 6 the first one usually works but a second just ends in circle spin of doom. It eventually adds the library if i leave it alone but if I try to do anything it will crash the service. The last few times I tried adding a library, it did the spin of doom and added the library twice putting a "2" behind the second one.
