Doctor Who 2005 Season 1-10 - Bladefin - 2025-09-09

I have been told many times good luck with doing Doctor Who 2005 episodes, I am only doing season 1-10 is there any tips/advice regarding the specials and minisodes.

Do I need to be doing something a bit different from normal TV shows.
I thought I would ask before I start doing them.

Thanks πŸ™‚

The regular seasons should be simple. It's the specials that are the issue.Β The episode numbers should match the metadata provider you are using. TMDB is the default option in Jellyfin:Β https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/57243-doctor-who/seasons?language=en-US

If you match the episodes with the corresponding episode number from the metadata provider, then yes. You can also enable "Display specials within seasons they aired in" from Dashboard-> Libraries-> Display.

I have done the first season no specials so that was obviously easy, before I start doing the rest of the seasons what's better for Doctor Who TMDB or TVDB?

I have done the first season using TMDB

Thanks

I personally recommend TMDB. It has a lot of accurate information for even more obscure stuff (just take a look at the specials for Star Trek), and editing any inaccurate information is fairly simple.

That's great TMDB does look more organised when looking at Doctor Who.

Thanks.

When I go into the Doctor Who seasons they all show TVDB even though I have TMDB at the top of the list I even unchecked TVDB.

Did you ever pull metadata from TVDB for Doctor Who? Jellyfin may still have some of that cached. If the metadata looks wrong, try refreshing with the "Replace all metadata" mode.

No this is all new first time I have done doctor who.

I'm wondering if it's the way I have named them?

How am I supposed to name them if I want to use TMDB?
