Sorting Episodes - Hansi Ro - 2025-09-16
Hello,
I recently switched to Jellyfin.
I have all my series/episodes and movies in one large folder with no subfolders.
With Plex, everything is perfectly organized, but with Jellyfin, everything is separate, without organizing the series into seasons.
Can Jellyfin or a specific plugin do this?
I really want to switch.
Organizing thousands of episodes... phew

No, Jellyfin requires specific organization, particularly for series. Movies and series should be kept separately. One large folder for movies is fine, though may require some intervention for poor identification. Series, on the other hand, are best organized into series-named folders with a subfolder for each season for optimal display.
You can, however, enable folder view in the web client, which may help or hinder your use case.
