installing server - Chomper - 2025-09-16
Hi there, I'm trying to install jellyfin server on an old intel macbook running macos catalina 10.15.7, but when I download the installation files on the jellyfin website, i'm unable to run them. I'm thinking this may have to do with there being an install for ARM macs and AMD macs, but none for intel macs. Does anyone know if there is a way to run a jellyfin server on an intel mac, or if there's something I might be missing? Hoping for an easy fix lol. Thanks in advance!

The latest version of Jellyfin, 10.10.7, requires macOS 12 Monterey or newer. So you would need to update your OS to run Jellyfin. The AMD64 is the correct version you would need; that's just the name of the architecture. It works for both Intel and AMD.
