How to disable transcoding only for Live TV - cerede2000 - 2025-09-22
Hi,
I'm having a problem with transcoding on LiveTV
Jellyfin Configuration:
- Version 10.10.7
- Intel QSV transcoding enabled
- Option to force transcoding on the user is disabled
For movies and TV shows, transcoding works perfectly.
The problem I'm having occurs with a web browser client, a Jellyfin Android client, and a Jellyfin iOS client.
I've set up Threadfin to manage my M3U playlist and my XMLTV EPG.
When I launch a LiveTV channel, I get a playback error and the stream won't start.
What I saw in the logs:
- log.log
- ffmpeg.log
Jellyfin is trying to transcode the stream.
If I disable general transcoding in the Jellyfin playback option, then my LiveTV stream works perfectly!
However, I then encounter a problem with my series and my films
Is it possible to disable transcoding only for the LiveTV part to separate this part?
