double film is not recognized correctly - ototos - 2023-10-12 Hello everyone, problems identifying multiple versions of a film. With emby and plex I don't have this problem, I have always named the files like this to avoid creating multiple folders with the same covers, as I use tinymediamanager which is very convenient for me to rename and download the various posters and covers. Is there a solution? It annoys me to have to select both contents on jellyfin and then merge. Screen: RE: a double film is not recognized correctly - TheDreadPirate - 2023-10-12 The documentation for naming versions of a movie is to name it "Movie Name - Version.mp4". Because you don't have a dash between the movie name and the version in the brackets, the file parser doesn't recognize it as versions of a movie. "Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Parte uno (2023) - [1080 h265 5,20 G].mp4" Quote:To distinguish between versions, each filename needs to have a space, hyphen, space, and then a label. Labels are not predetermined and can be made up by the user. https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/server/media/movies/#multiple-versions-of-a-movie RE: a double film is not recognized correctly - ototos - 2023-10-12 (2023-10-12, 03:15 PM)TheDreadPirate Wrote: The documentation for naming versions of a movie is to name it "Movie Name - Version.mp4". I hope it goes better. Thank you RE: double film is not recognized correctly - Scuttle - 2023-10-12 I have the same problem. For various reasons I have my 4k, 1080p, IMAX etc. formats saved in different places, so my Movies library has several folders attached to it. When scanning that library, Jellyfin properly identifies the movies and adds them. Unfortunately it is not smart enough to automatically group different versions of the same movie automatically, but even when I try to group them naually it breaks. When I tried grouping three versions of the same movies I got three entries in my movie-library wherein I could choose between the three different versions of the movies RE: double film is not recognized correctly - ototos - 2023-10-12 shows the folder structure, like I did, it's easier to help you. RE: double film is not recognized correctly - Scuttle - 2023-10-12 I'm not talking about the files on the disk. I am talking about the items in the Jellyfin library The same movie is being identified three times, three different library items with different video resolutions, but the same, identical, movie. When I merge these three library items I get three library items where I can, in each of them, choose any of the three different video files. |
