Media Library Placeholders - LiveTrash - 2025-09-24 So what I'd like to achieve is keeping my library populated, showing all the information about a TV show/Movie, displaying watch history, etc., but removing the file itself so as to not consume space unnecessarily on my drives. I only have a 2TB drive in my NAS. I can achieve this currently by manually deleting the file in the folder on my NAS but to let it do this automatically, it removes the entire folder and therefore of course removes the entire thing from my Jellyfin library. Is anyone currently doing this and do you have it automated? After watching any media and having it marked as "Watched", I'd ideally like for a movie or TV show to remove just the file itself automatically after 10 or so days but remain in my library. This way my library doesn't look too bare and I can easily look back at any time and see what I have and haven't watched and even allow for easy re-searching of a show or movie to add it back at a later date. Thanks. |
