New Poster, New Question - OldCOBOLprgmr - 2025-09-28 New poster here. I'm in the process of moving off Plex and onto Jellyfin. I'm running a Linux Ubuntu MATE server with lots of horsepower and lots of storage. My Plex setup took a while to set to my liking, but now I find I nearly have to start all over again. Without going into too much detail, I have both internal and external storage devices that contain my media files. The move to a different media server (JF) gave me the opportunity to re-organize my storage, but even though I put files into "collections" on disk, JF doesn't recognize them as such. So even though I might have something like this simplistic example, Harrison Ford - Star Wars - Raiders of the Lost Ark - Blade Runner Patrick Swayze - Ghost - Road House - Red Dawn Humphrey Bogart - Casablanca - Maltese Falcon - African Queen You get the idea. So, now I have folder named Harrison Ford, Patrick Swayze and Humphrey Bogart, but JF doesn't see these as collections. I've had to create collections in Jellyfin. Now, I can list the contents of the disk and the files line up appropriately, but I still have to add them, one by one, to the collection I want the assigned to. I've tried to find a way to click (there's no selection box) multiple items to add them all at once, but I can't seem to find a way to do this. Is it possible? Sorry if this is a redundant question. I searched the forums but couldn't find an answer. |
