Issues with JMP freezing on Windows and LG WebOS - beeayedoubleyou - 2025-10-11 Hello all, I am having trouble with JMP on both Windows and WebOS. I recently added Caddy and exposed Jellyfin via my domain name but before that JMP was working fine. Now whenever I select a show to watch JMP attempts to load the show and then freezes. Media playback still works via the web interface. Another thing I noticed is that JMP will not connect to the server when using the local IP address but does when I use the DNS entry and when I use a web browser in a private session, I can use either the internal IP address or the external DNS entry to access Jellyfin. Any thoughts on this? I can't seem to find anything in the logs that indicates an issue. Setup: Base OS: Debian 12 as a VM Jellyfin Ver: 10.10.7 Add Ons: Caddy Access method: Jellyfin is exposed to the outside world via a domain name purchased from Spaceship. Computers on the LAN use ISPs DNS. Troubleshooting attempted: Updated OS Uninstalled and re-installed JMP Restarted server Changed AV Sync mode in JMP to resample ![]() ![]() RE: Issues with JMP freezing on Windows and LG WebOS - beeayedoubleyou - 2025-10-19 For those following along, I was able to get an error from JMP on my Windows 10 desktop: "Playback Failed Playback failed with error "loading failed". Retry with transcode? (Note this may hang the player.)" Clicking on retry does hang the player. Clicking on cancel gives me this error: "Playback Error PlaybackError.mediadecodeerror" I can't find anything in the logs that seems to help me. Does anyone else have any thoughts? ![]() ![]() ![]() |
