Issue seeing mp4 files - cyberpyr8 - 2025-10-13
I have a JF LXC setup in Proxmox and it is working great for streaming music. I started adding a few mp4 files I have and I cannot get any of them to scan and show up. I have double checked permissions and that all seems to be correct. I have music files working with no issues. I have tried adding the videos as Movies, music videos I can see the folder structure but just no files. I have renamed them a bunch of different ways. Still no video files show up. I have the files in /media/music/movies now. I tried having my own folder but it wasn't working so I am currently using this since the music was working.
drwxrwxr-x+ 4 sb-------- sb--------- 4096 Oct 13 10:17 /media/music/movies (redacted user and group name) My Jellyfin user is in the groups sb------. I have verified this all works. I have a few folders under this that show up in JF but no files. I have rescanned and cleared cache, refreshed everything. I'm at a loss for this. It sucks because the music side is working beautifully. I'm running 10.10.7 on the client and server
