Webhooks Plugin - jiminy_macca - 2025-10-19
Hey all,
I've just tried setting up the webhooks plugin to shoot a message to a discord server I'm in. I've set up the webhook on the discord side, added the plugin to Jellyfin and threw in the details, using a template from the github. I changed the logging to debug for the plugin but for some reason it's not showing any issues. I get nothing coming through discord and I have no idea how to check what isn't working.

What template are you using?
What do you have configured in the plugin?
Is your Jellyfin instance publicly available? I’ve seen issues when attempting to send a photo URL that discord can’t access.

Ah turns out it was an issue with the template. The one on github doesn't account for an empty mention with the content header, and if that ends up being null then discord rejects the webhook.
