Jellyfin and shared folders on NAS Ugreen DXP2800 - albi_ug - 2025-10-19
Hi everyone, I'm new with Jellyfin and world of NAS.
I have recently bought a Ugreen DXP2800 NAS and i'm starting to store some ripped movies from DVDs and music in personal folders. I also installed Jellyfin via Docker (not through the direct app from the Ugreen store), so I created shared folders /movies and /music in UGreem.
My question is: do I have to copy the files that I already have in my personal folders into the shared folder shared with Jellyfin, or can I link the personal folders to the shared ones?
