Hi :-)
I am trying to use VidHub on my girlfriend's older Apple TV HD, to connect to a Jellyfin server in my home over Tailscale.
1080p movies play back perfectly, but all transcoded 4K video (even with VERY conservative 1080p H264 / Stereo AAC / max 10 Mbps settings) is dragging along in slowmotion, although the images look largely as I would expect ....
When I stream to the official Jellyfin app on my Android phone on the same wifi, everything plays back perfectly, and I can see there that it's playing back there as my transcoding settings dictate. So I'm guessing that all is ok regarding server and transcoding.
I also tried Swiftfin on Apple TV HD, but it seemed to work even worse ...
Or maybe I'm missing some other option ... Some will say Infuse, but as I understand it's not fond of transcoded stuff, so that won't work when I wanna watch 4K stuff on an Apple TV HD.
Does anyone have Jellyfin with transcoding working through VidHub Air something else on Apple TV HD?
